Royal Mail Strikes Over August Bank Holiday

The Communication Workers Union has called on its members who collect, sort and deliver parcels to take strike action on 26 and 31 August – days either side of the August Bank Holiday weekend. Royal Mail has contingency plans, but they cannot fully replace the daily efforts of its front line workforce. As such, there are likely to be some delays to Royal Mail parcels this Bank Holiday.

To ensure your packages are delivered on time, it is recommended you place your order before Wednesday 24th August to avoid delays.

Royal Mail will be prioritising Tracked 24 parcels, so if you will be placing an order with us between 24-31st August, we would recommend choosing the “Tracked 24 Hour Service” delivery method to give a better chance of delivery.

For more information on how this affects you and your delivery, please see the updates on the Royal Mail website.
